New and need help with file transfers

New to this about a week to be exact

when i try to download i enter the trigger and get the connection window to select the files select what i want to download and it gets sent or que'd. i can't get the send to last more than 5 minutes as for the que's i see my nick listed but again that does not last.

if i open a directory and end up with a list of files and i need them all for a game how do i que them again at the moment i have to wait for each file to download and then double click the next one (frustration does'nt even begin to describe that one)

at the moment all my downloads go to the MIRC folder not the download folder. they used to but not anymore how do i reset it.

i have lots more but these are the most pressing at the moment as the rest all relate to what to do with the file once i have it in my grubby little mit. As i have yet to get a succesful download i don't need to know it YET!

Are you saying that when you are downloading from someone else the file transfer within five mins drops and you end up with an incomplete file? or you are getting the whole file but you find the whole having to queue each file manually tedious? Are you actually getting complete transfers??? As far as the default download directory you set that in mIRC Options >> DCC > Folders section.
