[problem] warning message & failed import

Postby Trefenwyd » Thu Sep 25, 2003 5:21 am

I have a big problem since months...I searched through all the forum, asked in mirc, but i never found a solution...I hope the creator of the program may help me at last...

I, for error, typed the wrong answer (yes or no, i dont remember) at the startup of the program window security alert after a system freeze, and after that mirc tries to start but then i see the WARNING window and it closes automatically...

(its the same problem explained here: http://invision.lebyte.com/i2forum/viewtopic.php?t=2472)

I tried to install invision2 in a new dir and import the settings from the old directory, but it wont work, it does not import the control settings and the first istance of mirc (which sould close automatically) does not close, it remains there and so the import fails...I have this message in the status window:

###############################################################
# IN THE EVENT THERE IS AN ERROR DURING THE IMPORTING YOUR BEST CHANCE TO
# RECOVER WITHOUT LOOSING THE IMPORTED SETTINGS IS TO MANUALLY START
# ANOTHER INSTANCE OF INVISION 2 IGNORING THE WARNINGS, THEN COME BACK
# TO THIS CLIENT AND SHUT IT DOWN, THEN GO TO THE NEW CLIENT THAT YOU
# MANUALLY OPENED AND SHUT IT DOWN. THEN RESTART INVISION 2.
###############################################################

and that's what the import.log says:

############# Starting Import Wizard Sunday September 21 12:38pm #################

**** Detected Script as Invision 2.0 (i2 type) ****

Could not import FPW.

Could not import Auto greet msgs.

Could not import FS Tracker Records.

Could not import the Chan Ops Settings.

Could not import the XDCC Pack Settings.

I also tryed the "i2restore.bat" but it does not work...
Nothing seems to work for me...
I think the best thing is to try a way to import my settings successfully...but I dont know how...

Oh, I have multiple copies of invision in different directories of the same HD...But I dont think that's a problem...

Pls help me i dont want to loose my fileserver stats....

Thanks in advance,

Tay
