DCC sends makes server disconnect...

As the title states - whenever I try DCCing any file to anyone the server I'm in disconnects, and the send is failed.

I'm behind a router at home, but I can't configure it (I just don't have the password to do that, but if you can also tell me how exactly to figure this out I'll be grateful). I didn't find another post or something which relates to this (or I might have just missed it).

it's written on the router itself, I don't have the manual, my technician does and he's on vacation.

I've heard of similar a problem before. Try to connect to the network on any port except 6667 and see if that solves the problem.
There actually are routers/firewalls that crashes using the 6667/DCC send combo.

ok I changed the port to 6668, atleast now it doesn't crash but now when I try to send something it times out with no response, and the user who tried to receive say the DCC status was on "waiting" but never started sending.

I'm assuming that happenes because of my router?
