Invision "Heating Up"

Postby timchen » Sun Mar 30, 2003 1:04 am

I'm using Invision build 5250 I think, and my Invision frequently "heats up." This happens randomly, and when it happens, Invision lags my computer, taking up 100% of the cpu usage. I can't open Invision, it just stays on the taskbar, and I can barely use other applications because my computer is lagging so much. This usually happens for about 20 mins, and then stops, with all my transfers failed and servers disconnected, then reconnected. My regular mIRC client never does this. I also don't think it's a problem with my computer... I'm on XP with p4 1.8 ghz, 512mb of ram.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks

I have the same problem with mine, but I am still using build 1626, and it just started a few days ago. Any ideas what may be causing it???

Same problem here - pretty annoying too! But I'm hanging on, waiting for the next Invision release, trying to resist the SysReset temptation...

SysReset?!?! *Barf barf,* Hello?!?! SysReset = OLD! CRAPPY!

I have a simple solution: Disable Invision from minimizing to the task bar. Also, sometimes it happens to me. If you double-click it and it doesn't come up, keep clicking and eventually it will.

I have a SHITTY Celeron 600mHz 256mb ram though
