Router?

Postby Riamus » Sat Mar 06, 2004 1:58 pm

Do you have a router? If you have DSL, there is a good chance that your DSL modem acts like a router. Look into it... it's just has much trouble as a firewall.

Are you trying to use Reverse DCC?

Are you testing with more than one person?
You can find me at #Invision on irc.irchighway.net or #OldGames on irc.undernet.org if you need me for anything.

HELP.........Connection keeps failing

Postby Tat2 » Sun Mar 07, 2004 2:00 am

I have a wireless router connected to my daughter's computer (who doesn't have IRC on it).

Yes, more than one person has requested my packs and failed to send and I have tried to send to someone without a request being put in.

I am fairly new to this.

Thanks for your help.

Router

You will have to forward the ports used in your router or else use Reverse DCC. For more information on that, read the Firewall/Router post above and also read the router information on .
